Now that you are familiar with what cloud computing is, the next step is understanding the types of cloud computing - namely Public Cloud and Private Cloud.
Public Cloud Computing products are solutions that offer a single, basic service. They are products sold by companies that have been created for a single purpose and don’t allow for the consumer to edit or customize the product. Examples of public cloud computing products are services like Google Apps, Yahoo/Hotmail/Gmail, Microsoft 365, and Apple’s new iCloud.
Private Cloud Computing are products and services that give you control and put you in command of your product. They allow for greater versatility, giving you virtual ownership of the product or service. Private Cloud solutions can be customized to each individual end user enabling a level of freedom as if the equipment were in the room next door to you. Examples of private cloud computing solutions are products like hosted exchange email, virtual servers, and offsite disaster recovery services.
